About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint an exceptional Trust Education Welfare Officer who will have responsibility for developing strategies that support our academies in raising student attendance, reduce persistent absence and so raise achievement across the Trust. You will also be responsible for establishing and developing a professional service that supports our academies in raising attendance, investigating persistent absences and improving punctuality. All COLAT academies are based in the heart of evolving communities, and we value the diversity of our workforce. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds to join our team. The role is based within the central Trust team, with the expectation to be deployed to any Trust school that requires relevant support as needed.

About you

We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable candidate who wants to work in a role where there is ample opportunity to apply their expertise and skills within an education setting. You will be educated to degree level or have relevant training and experience in Education Welfare work and ideally have secure knowledge of child protection and safeguarding systems. You will be an excellent planner, organiser, with proficient communications and literacy skills supporting your ability to think creatively and solve complicated problems.
