Trust IT Manager

LIFE Education Trust seek to appoint an experienced and knowledgeable IT Manager to direct and manage a high quality ICT service for all schools in our Multi Academy Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and managing a high quality ICT service for all schools across the Trust, integrating and further developing the Trust Digital strategy.

The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day management of ICT service to maximise efficiency in relation to budgets, in line with school development plans, visions and values.

You will lead a team of technicians and provide support, coaching, development and training. You will ensure that the schools' ICT systems are fit for purpose and developed in the light of advancements in the use of ICT, in order to support a high quality educational provision. You will manage relationships with contractors and service providers, to ensure the Trust receives the best quality services.

At LIFE we support 7 schools, in total, across Essex and Havering to deliver excellent pupil outcomes, create vibrant, exciting environments and offer rewarding careers for staff.

What you can offer us: 

• Extensive experience of a wide range of IT practices 
• Up to date knowledge of ICT 
• Previous experience of managing staff 
• Experience of IT project management is desirable 
• Experience of managing contracts with 3rd party contractors and suppliers 
• Experience of managing budgets and budget monitoring 
• Proven ability to lead ICT within a school environment 
• Experience / understanding of risk management and health and safety in ICT 
• Minimum Level 3 ICT qualification 
• Experience of ICT operating systems and server based technologies 
• Ability to communicate technical language to nontechnical users and excellent communication skills 
• Demonstrate effective team working across schools 
• Ability to plan effectively and to prioritise 
• Be organised and efficient 
• Excellent time management skills 
• A sense of humour!
