Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2012. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18. In 2015 The de Ferrers Academy became a Multi Academy Trust (MAT).  Since then, four of our partner primary schools converted to academies within the Trust; Horninglow Primary, Lansdowne Infant, Eton Park Junior and Richard Wakefield (C.E.) Academies.  Together with The Pingle Academy and Granville Academy in South Derbyshire, we are now a trust of 7 academies crossing between the Staffordshire and Derbyshire boarders.

The strategic plan for The de Ferrers Trust is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.
