Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Trust Subject Leader for English on a full-time permanent bass from Easter 2021, or sooner if possible.

This role is home-based, but predominantly working at priority academies in Nottingham, Stoke and Milton Keynes.

The Trust are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Subject Leader for English to lead on the design of curriculum provision and resources for English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. This will include the monitoring, evaluation and review of standards and provision within English departments across each of their eleven secondary academies.

You will play a leading and highly visible role in the improvement of teaching and learning of English and the academic success of all pupils across the eleven secondary academies, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and achievement for all students.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Good and relevant degree
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status
  • Significant experience of leading successful English departments, with a proven track record of positive outcomes for students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
  • You will need to have the ability to draw on ideas from research and experience to improve practice within the schools and have an awareness of curriculum changes
  • Confident and innovative practitioner who can drive the Trusts' schools forward and ensure parity across the academies
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • A credible and authoritative leader who believes in the Trust's mission
