Please Note, this vacancy is for Westminster Kingsway College, part of Capital City College Group.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of an effective mentoring scheme. In the first instance, the role will be a 1 year fixed term contract.   As a Tutor Learning Mentor, you will be responsible for providing effective tutorial and general pastoral support for a caseload of 16-18 year old learners on level 2 and 3 courses based within academic and vocational faculties. There will be an additional expectation that tutorial learning mentors will undergo teacher training where appropriate (for unqualified teachers) which the college will fund.   Acting as a mentor and advocate for learners, you will be required to provide support group tutorials, work with cross college support teams on enrichment and learner support. The successful candidate will have experience of working with or mentoring young people and have the ability to organise key activities and events including tutorials.   An understanding of the College's Equal Opportunities policies and how to support students effectively in the development of their learning is essential.  The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is learner focused and results orientated. The College has recently been graded Good by Ofsted, we are looking for someone who can contribute to moving the college to outstanding.
