Job overview

We are looking for a Tutor to deliver excellent teaching on Travel and Tourism programmes within the school of Creative, Digital and Lifestyle Industries.   

You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of learners and also to carry out the role of personal tutor for a specified group of learners.  The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of and professional experience within the Industry.  

You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills showing a flexible and professional attitude.  You will be required to have an excellent team player attitude to work with the existing team retain their excellent success and progress measures.   

You will ideally be educated to degree level and possess a relevant teaching / training qualification or be willing to work towards within two years of appointment.   

The role will require you to embed the college’s values; working with Professionalism, taking Responsibility for your actions and giving Respect to students, colleagues and visitors.

Vision West Nottinghamshire College is a mixed, non-denominational further education college in Nottinghamshire serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college has approximately 1,200  full and part-time students attending every year. The college has six sites based in Ashfield and Mansfield. 

Vision West Nottinghamshire College was established as a Technical College in 1928. It was renamed Vision West Nottinghamshire College in 2011. Facilities across the campuses include an engineering innovation centre, art and design centre, sports hall, a hair and beauty training salon and a training restaurant for catering and hospitality students to train in.
