The Sheffield College is seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals who can demonstrate a passion for helping young people to excel in achieving their learning aims whilst enjoying their time at college and reaching their full potential.

In the Tutorial Mentor role you will be an excellent role model to young people, supporting them to become independent learners who can reflect on their learning and find their own solutions to problems that inhibit their progress.

Key to this role is the tracking of student attendance and progress as well as the implementation of strategies to improve retention and success. Another aspect of the role is to deliver enjoyable and stimulating group tutorials so providing learners with the opportunity to develop wider skills as well as providing one to one tutorial support. Work experience is integral to a student’s full time study programme and as a Tutorial Mentor you will work collaboratively with departments and employers to ensure a rich student placement.
