About the roles

We are seeking two tutors for our Homework Club as follows:

Registered Teacher Tutor
A teacher with QCT registration and a Maths / Science background, to work as a contracted tutor in our after-school Homework Club.
Hourly rate - $70 per hour.
This contractor position requires a person who is dedicated to the tutoring of secondary students ranging from Years 7 to 12.
Prior to commencing tutoring, applicants must have, or be willing to obtain an ABN (Australian Business Number) to enable them to invoice the College for their hours.

Uni Student Tutor
A University student, or Master of Teaching student with a Maths / English background, to work as a contracted tutor at our after-school Homework Club.
Hourly rate - $45 per hour.
This contractor position requires a person who is dedicated to the tutoring of secondary students ranging from Years 7 to 12.
Prior to commencing tutoring, applicants must have, or be willing to obtain an ABN (Australian Business Number) to enable them to invoice the College for their hours.

Must hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.


Estimated start date: 
Commencing February 2023

Position tenure:  Fixed Term

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)2023 school year

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 4 days/week (8 hours/week) - 3:00pm to 5:00pm - Monday to Thursday

Salary level, range or hourly rate: Registered Teacher Tutor - $70/hour and Uni Student Tutor - $45/hour

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
