Job overview

We have an excellent opportunity for a Uniform Shop Assistant to join Merici College. The uniform shop operates as a separate business unit within the overall trading operations of the college. 

The primary responsibility of the Uniform Shop Assistant is to coordinate the smooth running of the Uniform Shop, ensuring the provision of quality customer service to parents and students in obtaining correct uniform items in a timely manner. Hours of work may vary from time to time in order to accommodate customer requirements.

The Uniform Shop Assistant will apply in-depth knowledge and a broad range of skills to a variety of tasks; use discretion and judgement in planning and organising to achieve outcomes within time constraints; work under general direction and may work semi-autonomously. May be required to supervise other School operational services employees and or volunteers; require a skill level which assumes and requires knowledge and training equivalent to completion of a trade qualification or Certificate III.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CE policy.
