We are looking to appoint an unqualified teacher who has the ability to work alongside experienced qualified teachers in literacy and numeracy and to offer a subject specialism, for example, science, art, music, drama, computing.
 

The successful applicant must have:

*  A good degree in a related subject
•  Experience of working with children
•  Excellent numeracy and literacy skillls

* High expectations of behaviour and attitudes 

* A commitment to the whole school

The successful applicant must also be able to show excellent interpersonal, organisational and communications skills.

Informal visits are most welcome on the following dates: Wednesday 24th May 2017 at 9.00am or 2.00pm and Tuesday 6th June 2017 at 10.00am or 4.00pm

Grove School is a mainstream, mixed, community primary school for pupils aged three to eleven. Located in Handsworth, Birmingham, it accommodates approximately 708 students. 

Grove School was founded in 1903 and has since updated its premises with an ICT suite and interactive LED screens. Students also have access to 350 table devices. The school is split on site, with its early years students and middle school in a Victorian building and Years 5 and 6 in a 1960s open-plan building.

Grove School aims to be a centre of learning that values academic excellence and uses innovative learning styles. The primary school promote values such as: be kind to others; respect all property; always do your best; be honest and tell the truth; aim to be good listeners and thoughtful speakers; and treat others as you would want to be treated. The school strives to prepare pupils for modern British life.  

Reading, writing and mathematics are prioritised at Grove School. In addition, it acknowledges the importance of physical education and makes good use of sport premium funding, offering 68 clubs.

“Well-organised classrooms, with all staff knowing what they need to do, enable pupils to make good progress. Classroom staff plan and work effectively as a team. Adults who work with disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs know how to enable them to develop specific skills. In some lessons, progress for these pupils is outstanding.”
