Do you want to make a real difference to the life chances of students and the communities we serve? Do you have the potential to achieve the best possible outcome and highest level of wellbeing for all students?

If so, we are looking for an unqualified teacher to join our forward-thinking team. Candidates with an interest and experience in teaching multiple subjects would be desirable as this role will initially be to cover all subjects as the need arises. The role will involve some supervising of whole classes across all key stages and subjects undertaking pre-set work during the absence of teachers based at Castle View School. We are looking for colleagues who have the aspiration to be a teacher or considering it and want the experience in school. We have a secure track record of developing our own colleagues from unqualified teachers to qualified teacher status. Many are now members of our current teaching staff.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Unqualified Teacher; however, we would welcome applicants with transferrable skills. Opportunities to undertake training to achieve QTS may be available.

You must be committed to providing a quality education and experience for all and will need to excel in your classroom practice.

Ideally applicants will:

  • Have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent qualification and a sound academic background. A degree would be desirable (but not essential). An expression of subject(s) of interest / experience should be made upon application.
  • Be a good and effective communicator at all levels
  • Be open minded, creative and inspirational in their style
  • Commit to working collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Possess a good working knowledge of ICT
  • Have successful recent experience working with children of the relevant age range and previous classroom experience (desirable but not essential).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team who truly aim to make a difference, not only to student life chances and successes, but also developing young people who contribute to society with kindness and confidence.

We can offer you:

  • Enthusiastic, friendly and talented students
  • A dedicated, experienced and hardworking team of staff with a strong sense of collective endeavour
  • The opportunity to develop within a school which is supported by a highly effective Trust that is committed to staff wellbeing and development.
