Smart Teachers are searching for inspired Australian and New Zealand educators to apply for an enthusiastic and ambitious Year 6 class teacher position, to join a lovely primary school in Highgate, North London. Ofsted (the UK's governing body for standards in education) has rated the school ‘Outstanding’ and teaching and behaviour are of high standards.  This full time Class Teacher position is available for a September 2020 start. This may be extended and could lead to a generous permanent placement. The successful candidate requires proven experience within Year groups 3-6, and must be familiar with the UK curriculum; they will be responsible for delivering, supporting and encouraging student’s success alongside a friendly group of individuals keen to progress. Having experience with Upper Primary SATs is also essential.  You will be offered a great deal of support from a strong leadership.

In order to be considered for this role, the Class Cover Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Diploma of Education / or equivalent teaching degree with current teacher registration
  • Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
  • Graduate Teachers and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply
  • Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa/right to work)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
