What we are looking for - commencing in January 2021:-

Middle Leaders:-
* Curriculum Leader - Religious Education
* Curriculum Leader - English
* Head of Responsible Thinking Program

Classroom Teachers of both middle years and senior years in the following areas:-
* Religious Education and/or Study of Religion
* Industrial Technology and Design
* English
* Mathematics
* Humanities & Social Science
* Psycology
* Legal Studies
* Science
* Health and Physical Education
* Sport & Recreation 

An ability to teach Religious Education would be an advantage.  Full time continuing and contract positions are available.  ** For teachers in the VET areas, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 is desirable).**

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
* a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school
* current Queensland College of Teachers registration 
* ability to teach in subject areas listed above
* a commitment to the extra-curricular activities 
* accreditation to teach in a Catholic school or the willingness to obtain such accreditaiton
* accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School of the willingness to obtain such accreditation

About Chanel College (Gladstone)

Chanel College is a mixed, non-selective, independent secondary school with sixth form in Queensland, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school is situated in Gladstone and has an enrolment of approximately 474 pupils. 

Chanel College was established in 1966. The secondary school is committed to developing students as a whole person - academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and culturally.

The secondary school boasts a computer centre, well-stocked library, an arts centre, science labs, a state-of-the-art hospitality kitchen, sports courts and expansive outside grounds. 

Curriculum

Chanel College offers a broad and balanced curriculum that works to develop the skills and knowledge of each student to allow for them to thrive in the modern workforce. Careers advice is available for older students to gain an insight into the type of work they wish to focus on when they leave education – providing them with a solid goal for the future. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are also available for students to gain new experiences outside of the classroom, which range from sports to drama club.
