Smart Teachers Australia is recruiting for a VET (Vocational Education and Training) Hospitality & Food Technology teacher at a private, Catholic college located in the town of Young, New South Wales- approximately a 4 hour drive southwest of Sydney, Australia. The school educates students from Years 7 – 12 (ages 12-18) and the school community is highly supportive and welcoming. This position has the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum qualifications – Bachelor of Education/ PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Eligible to work in Australia (must have valid visa)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in secondary education
  • Hold accreditation to deliver VET Hospitality- Equivalent to Australia’s Certificate IV in Training and Education
  • Experience teaching the above subjects at secondary level
  • Be registered or be eligible for the NSW Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) Institution
  • Be registered or be eligible for the Working With Children Check registration (WWCC)
  • Provide a minimum of three professional references
