Job overview

Vice Principal: Achievement and Standards

Littlehampton Academy

Littlehampton Academy is a school that’s on the up. And we’re committed to building and sustaining this momentum. Our new Vice Principal: Achievement and Standards will have a key role to play.

You’ll ensure that an unswerving focus on achievement, attainment and progress underpins all that we do. With overall responsibility for school data and performance, you’ll be ideally placed to inform and challenge our improvement plans. And leading on standards and conduct, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the school to create a learning environment that encourages and supports our pupils’ learning. You’ll join a talented and committed senior leadership team, and while expectations are high, success here will be the ideal platform for your next career move.

It is essential that you have school leadership experience and that you can demonstrate success in changing outcomes and delivering improvement in a whole school context. Good with data, you should also be well acquainted with the full range of DFE performance benchmarks. We’re open to creative thinking and new ways of working - you’ll have plenty of opportunity to bring your personal influence to bear on how the school operates, including the formative stages of our new Year Group system. It’s important that you can play your part in a wider team context, and can adapt your style to engage different audiences.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants professional challenge from their next career move. For the right person it will be an incredibly rewarding role, and will undoubtedly accelerate career progression.

Visit www.tla-vp.co.uk to find out more or contact Rachel Singer or Raymond Kelly at Navigate on 0113 287 8445 for a confidential discussion. Closing date: 16 October (midday).
