Job overview

Begbrook Primary Academy is an extremely popular academy serving the area of Fishponds in Bristol. The school chose to convert to academy status in September 2012 as part of the Cabot Learning Federation and we have strong links with the other primary academies within the Federation and regularly hold meetings/training sessions where staff from all of the primary academies work together.

We have expanded over the last six years to three form entry and currently have 580 pupils on roll, including a nursery. We boast a modern, light, airy building and all classrooms have direct access out onto the playground.

We are looking for:

  • an enthusiastic, positive professional who is committed to supporting all children to achieve and enjoy learning, within our community of learners;
  • an experienced, well-organised professional who is committed to working alongside and leading others to realise the vision for learning at Begbrook Primary Academy and ensure excellence for all;
  • commitment to developing the vision for Begbrook as an international, intergenerational learning centre;
  • someone that will be excited about providing, demonstrating and facilitating a love of learning for life.

In return, we will offer:

  • children who are excited to learn - real ambassadors for our diverse community;
  • a hugely positive and supporting learning environment for all;
  • highly committed professionals with high levels of emotional intelligence, keen to create something unique and move beyond expectations in learning for life in the 21st century;
  • opportunities to shape the school vision for learning now and for the future;
  • a commitment to high quality professional developments with a focus on research and development.
