Vice Principal: Curriculum & Quality - Manchester
We wish to make a Vice Principal appointment to commence 28th August 2018 or earlier if possible.
Salary: based on the Leadership spine of the Sixth Form Colleges’ Association Salary Structure for Teaching Staff from L15 to L22 (£63,334 to £74,771), depending on experience.
Loreto Sixth Form College is located in Hulme, a mile south of the centre of Manchester and very close to Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University. It is a part of an international network of Catholic schools and colleges established by the Loreto Sisters. It works under the Loreto English Trust Board. All the Loreto schools and colleges in England are part of and participate fully in the work of the Loreto English Educational Network. Loreto College was designated by the National College for Teaching and Leadership as a Teaching School in March 2014. It works in partnership with four other schools as “Teach Manchester” to support schools to improve performance.
Loreto is one of the largest sixth form colleges in the country and regularly ranked highest in the North West for A-level grades (APE), with an excellent record of progression for our comprehensive, multi-ability and diverse student population of 3,300. Loreto has an outstanding financial and Ofsted rating.
The college has had a presence in inner-city Manchester since 1854 and has recently completed a £40 million rebuilding programme, delivering modern, state-of-the-art facilities that have provided the backdrop to its most recent success. The college has up-to-date modern learning facilities in all subject areas, ensuring that students’ learning environments are of the highest quality.
We are seeking to appoint a Vice Principal: Curriculum & Quality and welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced staff from Sixth Form Colleges, FE Colleges and Schools, who meet the criteria outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification.
