The School

GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail is a new Premium National Curriculum for England School, located near the Al Khail Road. The Primary section opened in September 2013 and Secondary opened in September 2014, extending to Year 10 in September 2016. This is an international world class school dedicated to fostering a passion for excellence in learning and in life.

The Post; Vice Principal

We are looking for an outstanding Vice Principal to join our team in September 2017

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to contribute to the strategic direction and lead operational effectiveness across the Academy
  • A profound understanding of what outstanding provision looks like, and the ability to deliver at that level
  • Recent experience of impactful leadership at Primary or Secondary level
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the National Curriculum
  • Ability to lead and develop further a strategy for Teaching & Learning
  • Experience of managing data systems for improvement, student tracking, intervention and Assessment, Recording & Reporting

Applicants will be fully qualified teachers with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in reputable schools.

The successful candidate will have clear communication skills both verbal & written, strong ICT skills and excellent time management skills. Good interpersonal skills and experience of leading a high performing team are also vital in the successful applicant.

GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail is a premium National Curriculum for England School, located in the rapidly expanding Dubai Hills development. The Primary section opened in September 2013 and Secondary opened in September 2014 with current enrolment at 2500.
