Job overview

A once in a career opportunity to work in a brand new, state of the art £34 million school.

This is a genuinely unique opportunity to take on a founding role at the first ‘all through’ school in Essex.

The Beaulieu Park School opened the doors to 60 Reception children in September 2018. In September 2019, another cohort will be welcomed into the Primary School, together with 180 Year 7 students. We are pleased that we are oversubscribed with families nominating us as their first choice school. The school will grow one year at a time until it is full in 2024. We are already planning our 6th form provision.

We are looking to appoint a Vice Principal (Standards) to join the Principal, ahead of the secondary school opening, to work with him to ensure the school is completely ready for our students in September.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has a successful record of leading school improvement, enhancing the learning and experiences of their students. They will be reflective, excited by taking risks, and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead to develop their skills.

This role will suit an ambitious Assistant Principal/Assistant Headteacher with aspirations to take on their own Headship. Specific responsibilities are outlined in the Job Description.

If you would like an informal conversation with the Principal, or to arrange a visit, please contact the Principal’s PA (Mrs Gibbons) on 01245 943400 or email vgibbons@beaulieuparkschool.com

Salary: L18-22

Start date April 2019

How to apply:

The closing date is 16:00 on Friday 18th January 2019. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st January 2019.

The Beaulieu Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
