Vice Principal

Shrewsbury International Asia (SIA) invites applications for the role of (International) Vice Principal for its new school in Guangzhou, which will open in September 2020.

The School will be part of the Shrewsbury family of schools and will draw on the rich heritage and tradition of Shrewsbury School UK as well as the innovation and success of Shrewsbury International Schools in Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Located in a landscape of mountains at the heart of the City’s Economic and Technological Development Zone, the site itself will comprise two schools: a Middle School for students in Years 7-9 and the Shrewsbury Senior High School for Years 10-12. The School will offer a co-educational, full boarding education to a broad range of students from across the surrounding community, who will be prepared in all respects for undergraduate life in global universities and the workplace.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Vice Principal will play a lead role in guiding the development of the Senior High School, deputise for the International Principal and develop exceptional working relations with the leadership of the Middle School. The Vice Principal will join the School in August 2019, providing a unique opportunity to gain experience of a pre-operating year as a deputy.  It is intended that the successful candidate will be preparing for Headship in due course.
