FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL LEADER

SEPTEMBER 2022

The Academy Board seeks to recruit an enthusiastic and inspirational practitioner to work alongside the Principal and the Leadership Team to deliver high quality provision at this mixed, non-selective 11-19 secondary school in West London.

The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust has an enviable reputation both locally and nationally, delivering excellent outcomes for all its students. Through a strong and dynamic learning community, Hewens College is committed to providing an outstanding education and making a genuine difference to the lives of students. Supported by the federated structure and solid leadership and management, Hewens College is ambitious to secure high quality teaching and learning through ongoing improvement, so that performance is well above national averages.

The successful candidate will drive the delivery of exceptional outcomes by supporting both pastoral and academic requirements. With a good proportion of the cohort being drawn from relatively hard pressed backgrounds, this is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver the best possible education through a strong and dynamic learning community.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

• Vision, energy and inter-personal skills required to inspire, motivate and lead others.

• Ability and tenacity to translate vision into operational reality through ambitious plans for continuous improvement.

• Exemplary classroom teaching and a firm commitment to high expectations and academic excellence.

• Personal attributes that engender respect and trust from all stakeholders within the wider community and beyond.

The successful candidate can expect to:

 • Play a pivotal role in further developing operational leadership at the College into the next phase of development.

• Drive forward an innovative agenda that seeks to improve the life chances of students living locally and support the development of the out-of-hours curriculum provision.

• Work within an inclusive ethos where students are encouraged to be positive, responsive and develop a genuine desire to succeed.

• Experience a wide range of leadership responsibilities together with the professional support to be successful in the role.

The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust is led by Rosedale College, a vibrant, non-selective secondary school, judged by Ofsted to be ‘good’.  This innovative secondary provider shares an attractive parkland campus with Rosedale Primary School and Parkside Studio College. Working collaboratively with Hewens College and De Salis Studio College, together they form a substantial part of the Academy Trust which was established in June 2011 to provide quality and diversity in Hayes and the immediate area.

If you wish to be part of our exciting future, please apply by 30th June 2022

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to engage in this responsibility.  A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is essential in respect of any applicant offered a position.
