We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader to the post of Vice Principal. You will be joining a newly appointed Principal and will play a key role in the management and academic success of the academy.
Rawlins Academy is a successful 11-19 school with a good tradition at A Level, strong pastoral care and guidance and exceptional provision for the Creative Arts. We pride ourselves on our inclusivity having both a Moderate Learning Difficulties Unit and Autism Unit within our mainstream school.
As Vice Principal, you will be an outstanding teacher and leader who has proven success within a key school leadership role. You will understand what makes first-rate educational provision and demonstrate a clear commitment to the school and its wider community.
Essential to this role are strong inter-personal skills and an ability to build effective teams where everyone has a clear understanding of their role, its importance and deliver successful outcomes. You will also need the skills to hold others to account whilst being highly accountable yourself, constantly reviewing and reflecting on the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives. Your experience and enthusiasm for education will inspire and challenge the teams you work with to lead change whilst maintaining a very clear focus on helping the academy to raise standards still further.
The specific area of responsibility of this post will reflect the skills and expertise of the successful candidate, along with the needs of the Leadership Team.
