This exciting opportunity has become available as Derby UTC moves towards joining The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust on 1 November 2019. The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust currently includes UTC Sheffield City Centre and UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park both judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The City Centre site opened in September 2013 specialising in Engineering and Creative & Digital Media, the Olympic Legacy Park site opened in September 2016 specialising in Health Science, Computing and Sports Science.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to work with both the Derby UTC Principal and Trust Executive Principal in implementing the Trust’s successful proven practice in driving improvement. You will provide inspirational leadership to support excellent standards and outcomes for our students. You will have a track record of successful leadership in a relevant setting and proven positive impact on raising standards and managing change.  In return, we are committed to support the new post-holder to develop their leadership skills through a focused programme of support and development.

Derby Manufacturing UTC specialises in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing and has strong support from University of Derby, Derby College, Rolls-Royce, Toyota and Bombardier.  The Trust will be introducing a second specialism in Life Sciences from September 2020.
