Job overview

Charnwood College’s exceptional campus, connections into world-class sport, and a confident, motivated group of young people present a compelling offer to ambitious and aspiring educational leaders. So this chance to take up a Vice-Principal role, working closely with our Principal-designate to drive our already impressive pace of improvement and growth, shouldn’t be missed.

This is excellent opportunity for a talented and focused candidate, who can work with the grain of our improvement journey, taking responsibility for attendance, welfare and pastoral issues, and behaviour. You’ll be timetabled for 6 periods per week; so your leadership strengths must be matched with the highest standards of classroom practice. You’ll ensure that all students understand the direct relationship between behaviour and effective learning, and will be able to model that balance in your inspiring but focused teaching.

We’re looking for candidates who can make things happen, and who are excited by the opportunity to take a visible leadership role in a school with a clear vision for the future. You will already have held a senior position, and be able to demonstrate the real and lasting impact you’ve made. Most importantly, you will share our deep commitment to securing the very best outcomes for children, and bring the resilience, determination and professional ability to deliver them.
