We are seeking a leader who:

  • Has credibility and a track record in leading and maintaining high standards within the academy.
  • Stays ahead of new developments in the world of attendance and attitudes to learning; and understands the emphasis placed upon each learning experience.
  • Has a microscopic focus upon improving the student learning experience in the classroom.


You will be expected to eliminate daily learning barriers by providing social, emotional and academic strategies for the students at our Academy.

The successful candidate will line manage the attendance team, the pastoral team consisting of 5 Year Managers and 5 Pupil Progress Coordinators and a behaviour mentor. You will also line manage the Assistant Vice Principals in line with your responsibilities from the Academy Development Plan. 

In addition to this you will be responsible for the Attendance strategy that is the key driver for the Academy at this point in time. You will be responsible for embedding our behaviour policy which demonstrates great impact. In addition to this you will coordinate the CPD offer provided from the trust for your teams and work closely with the relevant links within the central trust team.
