Vice Principal Responsible for Quality of Education

L20 - L24

The Heath School is excited to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity to an experienced and passionate leader to join us at our school as Vice Principal responsible for the Quality of Education. Our school is a good school, which is extremely popular and sits in the heart of the community of Runcorn. We are oversubscribed with over 1200 students on roll. For many years, outcomes have been extremely positive, and students have moved on to achieve their aspirations. However, we do not pride ourselves only on our academic performance but on our student-centred approach and the range of opportunities we provide our students through our curriculum and through our extra-curricular offer. That is The Heath Standard.

We care for our staff, as we care for our students, their health and wellbeing is paramount as we understand the pivotal role our staff play in the development of our school and its students. Our staff work incredibly hard but equally, we work hard to ensure their work is as effective as possible.

The successful candidate would require prior leadership experience, have a track record of achieving quality outcomes, implementing change to the benefit of students and staff, and have core values which are aligned to those of The Heath School. Leading on Quality of Education, we would expect candidates to be excellent classroom practitioners, have in depth knowledge of curriculum, assessment, pedagogy and be innovative and forward thinking in their approach to teaching, CPD and incremental whole school improvement.

In joining the leadership team, the successful candidate would be working under a Head of School and Executive Principal and be part of a nine person senior leadership team. They would have direct line management of three assistant heads who have individual responsibility for different aspects of the Quality of Education. This is a rare but amazing opportunity for a highly talented and aspirational person to further develop, personally and professionally, and improve the life opportunities for all the young people who attend The Heath School.
