Job overview

Bede's is an independent, co-educational school located on two stunning sites, one by the sea in Eastbourne and one in the heart of the Sussex countryside.

We are currently seeking an experienced Peripatetic cello teacher to teach the cello to Prep students to a high standard. The applicant should be prepared to teach a range of styles, genres and abilities from beginner to advanced.

Music is an important, everyday part of school life at Bede’s Prep. In addition to class music lessons all children perform in a number of musical events throughout the year. Most pupils learn one or more instrument, and many of these also take part in the associated ensembles and choirs.

The post is to cover maternity leave from the end of August ’19 to the end of December ’19. There is a possibility for the successful candidate to start in June should they wish to.

To apply, please go to: bedes.org > Prep School > About > Jobs at Bede’s Prep.

Please send your completed application form to: recruitment@bedes.org

Closing date: Monday, 3rd June 2019.

Bede's is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
