Ardingly College has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Tutor to join our Learning Support department, as a Visiting Learning Support Tutor who specialises in Study Skills and Literacy.
This role is offered on a peripatetic basis, in which the hours are varied as and when required. The role is expected to start in September 2020. We are ideally seeking someone who is able to offer both individual and group learning support sessions.
Applicants will have a keen interest and empathy for pupils with SEND and have some experience as a successful specialist tutor. The post-holder will have a good honours degree, and a willingness to keep up to date with SEND policy and practice and JCQ/IB Access Arrangements.
The successful candidate will be approachable and adaptable with experience in the successful promotion and development of learning strategies/differentiation. They will have excellent communication skills and understand the importance of keeping records accurately and securely as they will be dealing with confidential information in this role.
The pay is based on hourly rates from £15.50 to £39.20, depending on the lesson size and duration (further details are noted in the job description).
