Tes is supporting the appointment of a Visiting Music Teacher: Piano to join a High School based in Lewisham.
The High School is seeking a skilled pianist with exceptional teaching and communication skills to join their team of self-employed Visiting Music Teachers.
As a Visiting Music Teacher: Piano, you will play a key role in developing their pupils’ musical talents and potential across a broad range of ages and skill levels, by planning, preparing and delivering high-quality piano lessons.
You will have proven experience of teaching piano to Senior and Prep-aged pupils, along with a strong track record of preparing students for grade exams and assessments.
Music at the High School
Music at the High School is vibrant, exciting and enjoying a renaissance. They aim to provide a platform for all their musicians to perform, be that as a soloist or as a member of one of their many ensembles. As well as the dedicated Music School, the High School has its own purpose-built Recital Hall with access to professional sound recording equipment. An adventurous and forward-looking programme of concerts and events is in place for each term, with pupils engaging regularly with professional musicians, as well as performing in professional venues outside the School.
About the High School
The High School, established in 1887, is an independent day school for girls from 4-18 with over 700 pupils. It is at the forefront of education for girls and a strong voice in promoting opportunities for young women.
