Edgeborough is a very successful Independent Day and Boarding School in Farnham, Surrey for girls and boys aged 2 – 13. The school is situated in 50 acres of rolling countryside and is home to 320 pupils. 

The Music Department is a flourishing and lively environment, with over 75% of pupils learning at least one instrument.  There are currently 12 visiting teachers.  The Department has a busy calendar of concerts and performances and there are usually two ABRSM examination sessions per year. 

We seek a talented, inspirational and enthusiastic piano teacher to join a lively and flourishing department.  The successful applicant will be highly qualified and able to teach pupils of all abilities across the age range of Year 2 to Year 8.  The time requirement is approximately one day per week but with the potential to increase.

We would expect the successful applicant to be a competent performer and the ability to accompany would be desirable but not essential.  

Visiting Music Teachers at Edgeborough are self-employed and bill parents directly.  The rate currently recommended by the school is £40.50 per hour and pupils would usually expect to have 28 – 30 lessons across the year.

Edgeborough is one of Surrey’s top preparatory schools.

There are approximately 380 children aged 2 – 13, the huge majority of whom go on to some of the country’s leading independent senior schools. The school is extremely well resourced both in terms of buildings and equipment.  Sports facilities include grass pitches, sports hall (x4 badminton courts), outdoor swimming pool, and large astro-turfed area (x4 netball pitches).  Additional facilities include: theatre, music suites, art studio, a drama and dance studio, well-equipped science laboratories and state of the art ICT facilities.

The school is set in 50 acres of wonderful, rolling Surrey countryside in Frensham. Pupils are very well behaved, courteous and supportive. Any new member of staff will be joining an exceptionally strong and well organized team of teachers and assistants.
