Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.  The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are previous experience supporting visually impaired young people.

Contract dates

Ongoing throughout academic year.  Full and Part-Time.

The role

We are currently recruiting for Visual Impairment Support Workers to provide classroom support for students with visual impairment.  The support worker must be able to liaise collaboratively with colleagues across school to overcome barriers and modify learning approaches for the visually impaired students.

Requirements

To be considered for the Visual Impairment Support Worker position, you will:

  • Have experience of working with visually impaired students
  • Have a high level of literacy and numeracy
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of support workers
