Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their specialist ‘Quayside Transition Centre’ based at Alexandra Warehouse in Gloucester. Within this role, you will support a variety of learners of which some may have anxiety, SEND needs, mental health support needs or have missed large amounts of education due to hospitalisation.
The purpose of this role is to assist the learner’s in maximising engagement with learning activities devised by academic staff. The will include activities that have been specifically created with be individualised destination in mind and may include supporting learners undertaking vocational taster activities. In addition to this, you will be required to support learners to gain greater independence and employability skills through links with employers and community based initiatives.
