If you have the right industry experience and are seeking to gain your teaching qualification, we are able to offer this role on a permanent basis with training being provided through an apprenticeship agreement. Derby College offers a range of high quality teacher training programmes and its teacher training provision was graded outstanding by a recent Ofsted inspection (December 2015).  In 2015, 33% of the College's trainee teachers exited as 'outstanding', and this year, 40% are expected to.
 
Welding/Sheet Metal Teacher required
Must have Level 2 NVQ and or Level 3
To deliver Performing Engineering Operations qualifications.
Must have or be willing to work towards teaching qualifications.

Derby College is a mixed, non-denominational, further education college, situated in the centre of Derby in Derbyshire. The college has 5,061 students enrolled on 16 to 19 study programmes, from entry level to level 3, including specialist vocational qualifications, and the more traditional AS and A Level programmes. 

The further education college delivers most of its provision at two main sites in the city centre. Between 2014 and 2017 it has invested around £200 million, generated from government grants, employer contributions and learners, to deliver its programme of education and skills training.
