Northern Education Trust Norton Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a Welfare and Attendance Officer. The successful candidate will support children in the academy whose education is at risk, they will help families to improve their children’s access to learning and enable all children and young people to maximise their educational opportunities, especially those vulnerable groups that may need additional support.

Candidates will need experience of using a social work or counselling approach to working with children and their parents and carers, as well as being able to complete accurate report writing and record keeping and will ideally have experience of working within the education system and in a multi-agency environment.
