Job Title:    School Wellbeing Assistant

Salary:       £21,238 - £27,514 per annum dependent on experience 

Location:    Manor House School, Horsham

Hours:       40 Hours per week

Contract:   Permanent, Term Time Only 

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Wellbeing Assistant to join our close-knot team at Manor House School, Horsham. The ideal candidate will know how to identify and support children and young people whose progress, development or well-being is affected by changes or difficulties in their personal circumstances, and when to refer them to colleagues for specialist support.

Purpose of the Job 

  • To work under the instruction and guidance of the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team
  • To support the welfare, development and behaviour of pupils
  • To support the accurate implementation of school policies, modelling a high standard of intervention when supporting pupils
  • To be flexible in supporting staff and students throughout the school day
  • Support staff in the implementation of all school policies
  • Ensure that all work is GDPR compliance and handle student information appropriately

Manor House School is an independent special educational needs provision, the school supports boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18 years of age who have a range of social emotional and mental health needs. The philosophy of our school is based upon principles which are holistic, inclusive, aspirational, and progressive. The successful candidate will support our teachers working alongside other support staff and therapists, to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.
