We are seeking to recruit a talented, experienced and hardworking Technician to undertake the following specific and general duties and responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Facilities Manager, Technicians, and wider Professional Services team, the postholder will be responsible for providing an excellent technical service across all areas of the School, with a specialism in Music or PE.
  • Working under the direction of the Senior Technician and teachers to ensure appropriate resources are prepared and rooms set up as required in advance of all lessons and enrichment events.
  • To work closely with the facilities team to ensure the smooth running of school events and activities.
  • To provide technical support for both teachers and pupils.
  • To assist in the maintenance of equipment and resources.
  • To work with the senior technician to plan resource needs in advance.
  • To monitor stock and prepare orders as required.
  • To provide assistance with practical demonstrations as required.
  • To keep up to date with the latest technological and relevant legislative information.
  • To ensure full compliance with the School’s health and safety policy.
  • To work as an integral part of the School community to inform appropriate contacts if any issues arise.
  • To complete any administrative tasks as required.
  • To carry out appropriate risk assessments and produce risk management plans where required.
