An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, innovative, enthusiastic Work Based Tutor to join the Engineering team based at Pride Park, Derby. 

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team and will be required to fully teach, support, guide, advise and assess a caseload of Learners throughout their training programme, from start to finish.

The successful candidates will be required to carry out NVQ assessments within the workplace, including setting SMART targeting on reviews and completing action plans. Applicants must have occupational competence in Fabrication and Welding 

It would be an advantage for the successful candidate to have:

· Assessors A1 Award (TDLB D32/D33) or TAQA 301 Award

· V1 Award (TDLB D34) TAQA 401 Award

· Training/Teaching/Basic Skills qualifications 

However you must be willing to work towards these quals

Excellent communication skills and a professional outlook are essential.

A working knowledge of engineering apprenticeships will also be required, although development in this area will be provided. Possession of a teaching qualification and an assessor award would be advantageous.
