As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we have a term-time opportunity for a Work Experience Officer to support our Students as part of our Foundation Learning team on a fixed term basis until the end of the academic year.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing high quality placements for learners on the Foundation Learning courses. Learners are required to complete placement hours as part of their programme of study and as they build their work aware skills.

You will liaise with tutors, parents, employers and learners to ensure suitability of placement and ensure that Health and Safety checks are carried at all employers’ premises. You may also be required to support learners while on placement and assist with the travel training.

To be successful, you will hold an English and Maths GCSE or equivalent and have a broad understanding of Health and Safety issues. You will have experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships with employers and a good understanding of SEND within employment opportunities and progress into work
