Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy is large primary school - 644 children, aged from 3 to 11. It has a swimming pool which is used by the school and wider community, a busy before and after school club, as well as other lettings.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Wrap Around Care Manager to join us where you will work 35 hours per week, covering hours between 7:15am – 6:15pm which includes Breakfast Club, Afterschool Club and Lunchtime cover.

We require somebody with a proven track record and experience of managing a team, someone who can demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, negotiation, intuition, and fairness.

The role requires the manager to have strategic oversight of the provision yet always maintaining  a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a hands on and operational capacity along with a good working knowledge of safeguarding policies and practice as well as health and safety compliance and protocols. 

This is a role that requires a high level of skill and knowledge in relation to childcare and arranging provision. You will work to adhere to policy and procedures, whilst also reviewing and auditing practice to make improvements in readiness for inspections or external audits. 

We are looking for someone who is adaptable and forward thinking and it is important that the successful candidate is able to use their initiative, make decisions and risk assessing prioritising the duty of care for all staff and pupils.

The post holder will be able to keep timely, accurate and concise records, logging and recording in line with the policy and procedures of the organisation; somebody who is able to hold others to account but is able to also work alongside to support and coach members of the team. 

We require an inspirational leader, somebody who leads by example and sets the bar high in terms of demonstrating the highest regard for others, shows mutual respect yet is not afraid to make difficult decisions and will challenge substandard practice.

We require candidates with a minimum of Level 3 Childcare related qualification. Previous managerial experience is essential.
