Job overview

The West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC) is a partnership between the seven Further Education Colleges in West Yorkshire. In 2016, the 7 colleges developed a new Joint Venture that unites the region’s further education sector to work together to help improve the skills of the local workforce and ultimately  improve productivity across the Leeds City Region. As a result, the WYCC is now seeking an experienced individual to join its team in delivering a number of skills projects across Leeds City Region funded through the European Strategic Investment Fund. The funding will deliver a number of three-year projects designed to improve the skills levels of individuals working together with partners and stakeholders to fulfil the region’s skills priorities.

(Age)    16-17    £4.90 per hour. Equivalent to £9,453 PA

           18-20    £6.60 per hour. Equivalent to £12,733 PA

           21-24    £7.78 per hour. Equivalent to £15,009 PA

             25+    £7.83 per hour. Equivalent to £15,105 PA

The post holder will be part of the project delivery team under the new Joint Venture developed by in collaboration between to the seven FE Colleges in West Yorkshire, the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges (WYCC). She/he will work closely with the WYCC team, its partner colleges, employers and partners to deliver project components of the secured ESIF funded ‘More Skills Better Jobs’, Skills Service and ‘Reach Higher’ contracts and future unsecured contracts.

The role will be responsible for the undertaking a range of research, analysis and co-ordinating tasks in delivering projects and initiatives relating to WYCC projects. The role will have a clear focus on extracting, curating and aggregating data and labour market information to enable meaningful analysis to be conducted with it. The successful post holder will prepare, maintain and present information and schedules for activities aligned to support WYCC project delivery, monitoring and evaluation.

The post holder must ensure timely completion of apprenticeship qualifications in line with key milestones.
