Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: experience of supporting children with Autism, along with a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum.

Smart Teachers is recruiting for a specialist Learning support assistant to support two children on the autistic spectrum. The successful candidate will be based in class but may need to provide specific 1:1 time with the key children in question out of class if required. Ideal candidates will have experience of supporting children with ASD, although candidates with solid experience within mainstream education looking to move into a Learning Support Assistant will be considered. 

The role

• Learning Support Assistant 

• Providing support for two children on the Autistic spectrum

• To provide support both in and out of class

• Assist the class teacher with general Teaching Assistant duties

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant within the UK

• Knowledge of supporting children with behavioural needs and autism

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
