Smart Teachers is recruiting for a motivated Year 1 Teacher to join an inclusive primary school in Romford, Essex. If you are a Year 1 Teacher looking to work at a ‘Good’ school with supportive staff and an ambitious Head Teacher, this could be the ideal teaching role for you. The successful Year 1 Teacher will be joining the school as soon as possible on a maternity cover contract, until the end of the academic year. There is also potential for this role to continue in to the new academic year, September 2017.

  • To plan and deliver holistic and creative lessons
  • Teach a class of intuitive Year 1 pupils
  • Maternity cover contract starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year, July 2017
  • Potential for this Year 1 teaching role to continue into the new academic year, September 2017
  • Daily rate from £135 up to £165 (depending on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, the Year 1 Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Have proven experience teaching in a UK-based classroom
  • Experienced UK and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
