West Row’s motto is “Encourage one another and build each other up”. This supportive attitude sums up life at the school. Staff aim to create an atmosphere in which children can celebrate their achievements at the same time as showing strong self-discipline. Students are also taught to live together and show mutual respect, recognising the contribution and value of different traditions and cultures. The curriculum is designed to meet pupils' needs as well as helping them deliver work to a high standard.

School resources include a vegetable garden and secret garden, as well as a wildlife area and large playing field.

Ofsted

“Children in the Reception class make excellent progress, especially in their personal development and in their speaking, reading and writing. Good leadership from the headteacher, deputy headteacher and those in charge of subjects such as English and mathematics is making sure that standards are rising. The governing body is very supportive and knowledgeable about all aspects of the school’s work.”
