The Philip Morant School & College

Philip Morant is a popular, mixed comprehensive school & college in north-east Essex. It is a happy school & college in which students feel nurtured, achieve and are well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or work. We have made significant progress since our last Ofsted inspection, including three sets of excellent examination results.

Building on the traditions and academic success of the Philip Morant College we rebranded the sixth form in 2020 to Sigma Sixth Colchester. The college is now part of The Sigma Trust’s post-16 offer for The Philip Morant School, The Stanway School, Paxman Academy, St. Helena School and The Thomas Lord Audley School. Although located on The Philip Morant School site, we welcome over half of our students from local schools and non-Sigma Trust schools, who quickly become important and valued members of our community.

Sigma Sixth Colchester is proud to include a Sports Academy which uses the facilities of The Northern Gateway. The successful applicant will spend the week at the college and The Northern Gateway.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and inspirational Year 12 & 13 Manager from September 2021.
