ABC Teachers are looking to recruit a Year 2 class teacher for a primary school located in Great Barr. The school in question is keen to employ an experienced qualified teacher to take the class through the last term of the academic year. Ideally they would like the candidate to start on Monday 16th April or as soon as possible.
At this time of year SATs are imminent for Year 2, however this school do not put a high amount of pressure onto the pupils but most importantly the class teacher. You will be expected to plan, mark and assess for the final term. There will be one report that needs to be written, but you will get extra support from the school. They have 1 meeting a week after school on a Wednesday until 5.30pm.
The ideal candidate will-
· KS1 Specialist- ideally Year 2
· Be able to provide 2 educational references in the last 2 years
· Have a current DBS on the update service, or be willing to complete a new one
· Qualified teacher status- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
· Knowledge of the current National curriculum
· Experience working with Year 2 SATs
Located in Great Barr, this makes it an easy commute for both drivers and non-drivers with links from the M5 and M6. The local public transport routes are very frequent in and around the area. This would be the ideal position for someone that is situated in Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall.
