Job overview

Castle Batch is an exciting, forward thinking and dynamic primary academy, which Ofsted has recently judged to be ‘good’ (November 2017). Ofsted said, ‘Castle Batch is an inclusive school, characterised by very good relationships and a caring ethos’. We have very committed staff who work creatively, in partnership with parents, to enable children to achieve great outcomes.

We are part of The Priory Learning Trust, comprising of local primary and secondary schools, enabling us to work closely with a range of practitioners from all phases of education. This is a very exciting time for Castle Batch and a great time to join us.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative teacher to cover a maternity leave as part of our hardworking and innovative Year 2 team. You will be required to work 3 1/2 days per week - Tuesday mornings and Wednesday to Friday. People who have a unique way of looking at the world and are very happy to try things that might sound a little bit ‘different’ fit in really well in our school. Added to this, a willingness to work really hard, pitch in, laugh with us and enjoy working alongside our remarkable children might make you just the person we are looking for. Applications are welcomed from newly qualified teachers as we have experienced staff who can support your development.

We will be able to offer you:

• A school ethos which puts the child right at the centre of all that we do.

• A leadership team who are very committed to your wellbeing, supporting you to focus upon the key things that make a difference for children.

• The opportunity to develop your career as part of a growing multi academy trust.

• Lots of professional development opportunities, through the TPLT Teaching School Alliance, as well as our very experienced team.

• A fun and exciting approach to learning, where creativity and new ideas are highly valued.

Visits to our school are very warmly welcomed and greatly encouraged – please contact us to make an appointment. We have an informative website, so please do have a look.

Castle Batch Primary School Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and barring check, childcare declaration and two satisfactory references.

Please note that if you do not hear from us within 3 working days of the closing date, you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
