St Elizabeth's Primary School, Tarragindi, requires a teacher for Term 2, 3 & 4 of the 2019 school year. The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic team, have an excellent knowledge of the early year's curriculum and be willing to be part of the wider St Elizabeth's community. Experience in Information Technologies would be an advantage. This is a Maternity Leave position.

St Elizabeths Primary School,  Tarragindi, is located about 9 kilometres south from Brisbane’s CBD.  It  has an approximate enrolment of 355 primary students.  The school is well resourced, particularly in the area of technology, and there is a great community spirit.  The students are challenged in their learning through our IREACH learning dispositions (I-Independent, R-Resilient, E- Enquire, A-Achieve, C- Collaborate, H - I am Hopeful & Positive)  and parents are interested in and supportive of their children's education. About St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School

St Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School is a co-educational school serving prep to Year 6, located in the Brisbane suburb of Tarragindi, 9 kilometres south of the CBD. The school's current roll is 338 students, supported by 26 teaching staff.

St Elizabeth's was established in 1958, opening its doors to 77 children. Three Presentation Sisters - Emmanuel, Carmel, and Raphael - were welcomed by the parish priest Father Basil Bergin, and Archbishop Duhig officially opened the school.

The school is well equipped with ICT resources; each class has an interactive data projector and access to banks of laptops or iPads. Other facilities in the school include a well-resourced library, school chapel and numerous play spaces within the school’s attractive gardens.

Curriculum

St Elizabeth’s follows the Australian Curriculum educating students in the Key Learning Areas with a focus on numeracy and literacy as well as religious education. The school has specialist teachers in physical education, art, French and music.

Additional support staff include literacy and numeracy co-teachers, learning enhancement teachers, a teacher librarian, a guidance counsellor and school officers.
