Wetherby Kensington is currently looking for a career minded and enthusiastic Year 3 teacher to join our team from January 2022.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, imaginative and driven teacher who works with equal efficacy independently and as part of a team. Applicants will join an innovative, forward-thinking and committed team. The position would suit dynamic teachers who are able to inspire pupils of all abilities to develop their full potential. A subject leader role position may also be available for the right candidate.

Experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2 is essential as is a thorough up-to-date knowledge and experience of the curriculum. Knowledge and experience of working in the London Day School system in either the 7+ or the 8+ year groups is desirable but not essential. What is also important is your ability to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and to have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching duties and responsibilities in a relatively new year group.

The School

Wetherby Kensington is a two form, non-selective, pre-preparatory school for boys from Reception to Year 3. It follows exactly the same curriculum and shares the same values and ethos as Wetherby School and is an integral part of the Wetherby Group of schools. Boys at Wetherby Kensington receive very high levels of academic education and pastoral care. Wetherby Kensington is part of the Alpha Plus Group of schools, which is one of the country's leading educational groups.

A salary at the appropriate point on the Teachers’ Scale will be offered to the successful candidate and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm. 

This role will be advertised from Monday 22nd November 2021. The closing date for applications is Monday 6th December at 12pm. Interviews will take place during w/c 6th December 2021.
