Year 3 teacher needed -Ilkeston

ABC Teachers are looking for a Year 3 teacher who is needed in Ilkeston for a community primary school. The school currently need a teacher who wants to start in September and will take the start of the year at full pace. They do not want the children to miss out while a teacher gets used to the new environment so they ask them to attend a few days at the end of the summer term just to get to know the school and understand the basics of how it runs. 

The school is a 2 form entry with just 25 children in each class, meaning that a teacher would have much more contact time with each child than most other primary schools in the area. The school also provides a TA to each classroom to assist with either individual children who have fallen behind the curriculum or to assist the class teacher in larger tasks and lessons. 

The school have made it clear that although the position is only advertised until November, they are committed to providing the children with a steady education, so an extension of this post is anticipated.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
