Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is holding QTS and recent teaching experience in KS1.  

The role 

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a full time, Year 4 Class Teacher to work in a two-form entry school in Hackney. The candidate will be working with a Year 4 class as Year 4 Class Teacher from September 2021 – July 2022. The role is likely to be made permanent for the right candidate and role into September 2022. The class have a few pupils who do require strong behaviour management, however with the right teacher, these pupils have room for progression, both from a behaviour and academic standpoint. On the whole, the class have been characterised as a fun bunch of pupils who simply need to build rapport with the right teacher who will go in and hit the ground running! The children particularly enjoy when lessons are interactive and involve using real life examples to help aid consolidation of the material.  The Year 4 Class Teacher will be required to deliver stimulating lessons and foster a real passion for educating the lively bunch of students who thrive with the right teacher in place. If you are a Year 4 Class Teacher with strong behaviour management and a positive approach to teaching, this role would be perfect for you! 

The school 

The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and we have received extremely positive feedback from staff who have worked there before. There is a general lively and positive atmosphere that runs throughout the school; pupils are encouraged to have fun whilst learning and the importance of mutual respect between pupils and staff is always enforced and is apparent.  Positive feedback has also been related to the team of staff as they work closely together to ensure that all pupils receive interactive and exciting lessons. There are many opportunities to progress within the school with the regular CPD courses, whereby the leadership wish to better each member of staff which will ultimately transfer onto the pupils’ education.  The suitable Year 4 Class Teacher will be surrounded by great facilities, including their extensive grounds and colourful classrooms, each fitted with interactive white boards. The school is surrounded by various transport links. 

Requirements 

To be considered for the Year 4 Class Teacher, you must:

• Hold QTS

• Strong behaviour management skills 

• Have recent experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 4

• Eligibility to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)

• Deliver lessons in a stimulating and enthusiastic manner
